Client on the Wrong Side of I-94 but Found Not Negligent
When a Johnson & Condon client lost control of her car, crossed a grass median and struck another car going the opposite direction on I-94 in Wisconsin, there was a question of negligence. Attorney Mark Condon was able to convince a jury that an unanticipated hydroplaning of the client's vehicle caused her to lose control. Condon said, "the factual scenario fit perfectly with our Emergency Rule but more importantly I had the pleasure of representing one of the most delightful women I have met. She made a great witness and the main reason we were able to obtain a verdict of no negligence.
"On top of that, she sent me a note that I'm sure most clients would like to send to their lawyers: ‘Mr. Mark Condon: It was a pleasure to work with you and your staff during the duration of my lawsuit. We found all of you to be very caring and considerate. We were impressed by your expertise and the verdict you accomplished. It was interesting to see how the system works. Saying all that, we hope we will never have to avail ourselves of your services again!’”
