Attorney Bio

Paul S. Hopewell has been a shareholder at Johnson & Condon since 2003.  Mr. Hopewell focuses his practice on insurance-related civil litigation in commercial and personal lines matters.  This includes litigating claims, providing coverage opinions, as well as advising business and insurers on risk-management issues.  Mr. Hopewell provides comprehensive legal and business advice to commercial and personal insurers.  He has successfully handled numerous civil liability and coverage claims in automobile-related cases, dram shop claims, homeowner’s issues, fire-related matters and fraud.

In addition, Mr. Hopewell is a frequent lecturer on motor vehicle related topics, which include No-Fault, Uninsured and Underinsured motorist claims, Bad-Faith and fraud related issues.  He heads the No-Fault, Uninsured and Underinsured Practice Section of the Firm.  He has been voted a “Rising Star” in the Minnesota legal profession by the practicing bar in Minnesota Law & Politics on several occasions.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Hopewell was a four year letter winner and two year starter for the University of Minnesota football team from 1988-1991.  Paul continues to enthusiastically follow his Golden Gophers.  Outside the office, Mr. Hopewell spends his time with his wife, Michelle, and daughters Isabelle and twins Olivia and AvaMarie.
