Attorney Bio

Since joining Johnson & Condon in January, 1991, Mary Christenson has concentrated her practice in the area of workers’ compensation defense and related employment issues. Representing both insured employers and self-insured clients before the Office of Administrative Hearings, Ms. Christenson has tried or settled hundreds of cases, and has argued appeals before the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals and the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Prior to joining Johnson & Condon in 1991, she practiced workers’ compensation and personal injury law with a Twin Cities law firm. A former high school English teacher, Ms. Christenson has been an active participant in the Minnesota Mock Trial Competition as an attorney coach, and more recently as advisor and case presenter at the fall Mock Trial kickoff seminar.

Ms. Christenson is a 1982 cum laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law. She is a coauthor of The Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Deskbook, 2nd and 3rd Editions, and has presented numerous seminars on workers’ compensation, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and other employment issues. In addition to her legal work, Ms. Christenson was the Firm’s Managing Partner for five years ending in 2003.
