MARY E. KOHL  Attorney at Law

Mary Kohl is a shareholder with Johnson & Condon who has focused her practice on employer-related workers’ compensation issues exclusively since 1991. She represents self-insured and insured clients before the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Division, Office of Administrative Hearings, Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals and Minnesota Supreme Court. She also represents employers and insurers in Wisconsin workers' compensation matters.

Ms. Kohl has defended thousands of workers' compensation matters. She is recognized by her clients for her ability to provide early assessments which allow for cost-effective case management. She is a tenacious litigator who is also recognized for her superior negotion skills. She is a well respected member of the workers' compensation defense bar.

Ms. Kohl has lectured extensively on a variety of workers compensation issues to public and private groups, and to schools. She has co-chaired the Hennepin County Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Committee, and has served as an arbitrator elected by insurance claim professionals to resolve equitable apportionment disputes. She is a 1991 magna cum laude graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law. Before joining the Firm, she was a legal technician for the workers' compensation judges at the Office of Administrative Hearings and worked for a national insurance company as a claim professional.

Ms. Kohl has been honored by her peers as a "Super Lawyer" in Minnesota Law & Politics magazine in 2005.

Mary enjoys traveling, snorkeling, swimming, entertaining, and going to movies.
