Shamus O’Meara Elected Chair of Disability Justice Foundation
Shamus O’Meara was recently elected chair of the Disability Justice Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding experienced legal representation for children and adults with significant disabilities. Disability Justice makes important legal connections for victims of emotional, physical or financial abuse or exploitation and those who are denied basic human rights or access to legally-protected services. “We have a moral obligation to help those who are vulnerable and have been denied justice,” said Shamus O’Meara. “Disability Justice provides a network of legal resources for people with disabilities and their families, and is a wonderful opportunity for our legal community to make a difference in the lives of these important citizens.”
